JLPGA Vice Chairlady Miki Oda, on today’s press conference, sent her regards to those who experienced loss on the big earthquake that hit Hualien, Taiwan last month. “I see amazing resilience in Taiwanese people during these challenging times. I was unsure if this event was okay to continue, but many thanks to everyone who have been involved for making this event possible again, which captures the deep friendship and a positive competitive energy between Japanese and Taiwanese women’s golf,” said Miki. “This is our second year working together with the TLPGA, and I hope our cooperation will continue to intensify in the future.”
“On behalf of the TLPGA Tour, I welcome these great, inspiring ladies from the Step Up Tour stepping onto our beautiful grounds. The staffs at the Orient Club have been doing an outstanding job to get the course into top shape. I hope you are going to enjoy the event and put up your best performance,” said TLPGA Chairwoman Liu Yi-Chen. “And I would have to thank again CTBC’s President Ku, and Vice President Mr. Chen G-S.. Without your support over the past 13 years, the TLPGA Tour wouldn’t have reached the height it is at right now. Thank you for making the TLPGA Tour a land of dreams and opportunities for our talented players.”
Recent ICTSI Luisita Ladies International champion, Thai player P. K. Kongkraphan will headline the TLPGA Tour contestants.
