“The weather conditions were kind of a torture this week because of the typhoon. I never thought I could play this well in these conditions,” the Thai player said. “I made an important par putt from a difficult position on the 12th green, and it was when I knew I had this in the bag. It was a nice feeling just cruising through the final holes without any pressure at all. I’m really proud of what I was able to put up this entire week.”
Kongkraphan notched a total of six birdies on the final day, making her final total a remarkable 8-under 208. This win in worth NT$540,000.
In fact, this is Kongkraphan’s fourth win in one season, adding into account one victory from her home tour in Thailand.
