The TLPGA Tour moves to Tong Hwa Golf Club this week for the new Da Da DIGITAL Ladies Open, presented by Da Da Charity Foundation. 75 players will battle it out through 54 holes at the NT$3-million event starting on Wednesday. The winner will pocket NT$550,000.
Da Da is a broadband service company in Taiwan initiated by the locally-renowned Da Feng cable company, which hopes to facilitate positive social relationships and connections through sporting events.
“I do believe Taiwan will have another world no.1 in women’s golf, as long as long we keep making the environment a lively one,” said Da Da Digital president Tai Y-H.. “And Da Da knows we can and we want to play a role in making it happen. We felt honored that the TLPGA Tour provided us we this great opportunity to hold a tournament.”
Set at 6,250 yards long this week, the layout at the Tong Hwa Golf & Country Club was recently just renovated, from golf course to surrounding facilities, and ready to offer a whole new playing experience for the TLPGA Tour members.
52 professionals and 25 amateur players are in for this week’s top-tier TLPGA Tour tournament. Last week’s KENDA Tire TLPGA Open winner, Taiwanese Kiwi Juliana Hung (洪玉霖) headlines the field, who is looking for a fifth TLPGA Tour crown.
BNP PARIBAS & TLPGA Heritage Tour winner Lin Yi-Hui (林怡潓), YTS & SUNCITY Heritage Tour winner Wang Li-Ning (王莉甯), and Nan Pao TLPGA Heritage Tour winner Tseng Chen (曾楨) will also be looking to repeat their winning moments this season.
Chonlada Chayanun from Thailand, Thai LPGA Tour’s second best player in 2022, is one of the two women from overseas.
Hole-in-one prizes from Departure, SAMPO, EAGLE Golf, and BESV E-Bike, which will not be exclusive for just the first ace, will be up for grabs on Hole 3, 6, 13, and 16.
