2021 Taiwan LPGA Tour | Party Golfers Ladies Open 3– 5 Nov Tournament Preview
Date:2021-11-02

The Party Golfers Ladies Open, teeing off on Wednesday, will be the sixth pitstop on the 2021 TLPGA Tour. 47 professionals will be jostling through 54 holes, alongside 23 amateurs, in hopes of adding the NT$3 million event title to their resume which is worth NT$550,000.

The backdrop this week is the Lily Golf & Country Club, which hosted the TLPGA Tour players in the 2021 season already in August’s YICHEN Heritage Tour. The players tested the course, which boasts its picturesque view of the Xue Mountain and a natural design by Kato Shunsuke amidst wooded scenery and wildlife, one last time in today’s Pro-Am. Lee Chia-Pei (李佳霈) led her three teammates in the Pro-Am event with a winning score of 59.

17-year-old Wu Chia-Yen (吳佳晏), current No.1 on the 2021 TLPGA Tour Money Leaderboard, is hoping to repeat her winning run in 2018 when she was still an amateur. “I look forward to competing at the Party Golfers Open and winning again now as a professional,” Wu said, who has bagged two victories this season at the CTBC Invitational Match-Play and the Wistron Ladies Open. “Thanks again for the sponsors, and the always supportive Party Golfers for bringing us all these opportunities on the tour.”

The Party Golfers is an amateur golf team comprised of local entrepreneurs who share a strong passion for the golf sport. They’ve been lending their sponsorship supports to the TLPGA for the past eight years and gave rise to the first Party Golfers TLPGA Open in 2014.

Defending champion Lee Min (李旻) was unable to show up due to quarantine restrictions.

“During the past couple of years, we’ve seen so many TLPGA players strike beyond their comfort zones and embrace oversea challenges on the international tours. I believe this ever-growing TLPGA Tour plays a decisive role, making the players more competent to face higher-level, more competitive environments,” said Party Golfers chief manager Lin L-C. “This year, our event landed at this beautiful Lily Golf & Country Club for the first time and I have to say, I’m mesmerized by the landscape and the great conditions. Thank you to Lily Club for this amazing venue and I hope the players will enjoy their hit this week.”

The Party Golfers has been an official partner with the TLPGA since the year of 2014:

2014 - First Party Golfers TLPGA Open was held. Thai player Kanphanitnan Muangkhumsakul became the first champion.
2015 - Lu Ya-Huei (呂雅惠) emerged victorious at the second Party Golfers TLPGA Open.
2016- Chen I-Wen (陳依妏) won the third edition of the Party Golfers TLPGA Open.
2017 - The Party Golfers co-organized the qualification event of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship.
2018 - The Party Golfers Ladies Open returned to the schedule, co-sanctioned by the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour. The winner was Wu Chia-Yen.
2019 - Co-sanctioned by the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour, the Party Golfers Ladies Open was won by Hsieh Yu-Ling (謝瑀玲)
2020 – Lee Min became the sixth winner of the Party Golfers Ladies Open at the Sunrise Golf Club.

First round action begins at 6:40 tomorrow morning from the first and tenth tees.
