Total prize money USD100,000 2017 IOA Championship final round, Daniela Darquea from Ecuador caught eagle and birdies 67 and 12-under-par total 204, as the first Ecuador player to win Symetra Tour and rewarded USD15,000; she also set the lowest history record at this tournament and leap to 2nd at Symetra Tour OOM.

Benyapa Niphatsophon from Thailand and Anne-Catherine Tanguay from Canada tied 2nd by 3 shots behind total 207; Benyapa shot 67 and Tanguay shot 70.

Taiwan amateur Tzu-Han Lin shot 71 total 216 even par and tied at 41st, which was the best ranking among 4 made cut Taiwan players.

Yu-Ju Chen had 72 total 1-over-par 217 and tied 46th.

Doris Chen played disappointed 77 total 7-over-par 223, shared 64th with Ching Huang who played 81 today.

This was Ecuador rookie Darquea second tournament at Symetra Tour, last tournament tied 17th. She started last group, couldn’t jump out after 9 holes with other leading players; it was at hole 13 from 130 yards by 9 iron that the ball jumped into the hole and made eagle. After 2 shots lead, she birdied from 5 feet at hole 18 and confirmed the win.

She said it was a very special experience of being the first Ecuador player wining Symetra Tour, golf was not a popular sport in Ecuador and this win meant a lot to me.

17-year-old amateur Tzu-Han Lin joined Symetra Tour for the first time, she had 4 birdies and 3 bogeys; 3 birdies in a row from hole 4 to 6, hole 5 was a 18 feet down slope birdie putt, hole 6 was 15 feet and hole 18 6 feet birdie putts, total 30 putts, also good on irons and woods; although 3 bogeys were from 3 putts error.

She said Symetra Tour was more intense than she thought, full of competition and big difference on ranking from stroke to stroke; it was a special understanding that every shot was important.

She studied at Hsiang Shan Senior High School second grade, start to play golf at 10 and sponsored by Swinging Skirts from 2015.

Yu-Ju Chen also had her first time experience at Symetra Tour, driver and irons performed stable; 4 birdies and bogeys each along with 11 fairway hits and regular on, total 29 putts, 37-35 to end the game. As other players has more competitive scores, her ranking was slightly on the back.

Doris Chen had a better condition with irons and driver, but total 33 putts against yesterday’s 27 putts; total 6 bogeys and 1 birdie, 38-39 for the round.

Ching Huang played 81 in the final round, she had the best performance among all Taiwan players in the first two rounds, but had a unexpected round today. “My tempo went all wrong, error a lot and didn’t work well from the rough.” Said Doris.

Though Ching Huang did not play well, she was still thankful to her volunteer caddie Michelle, a 60-year-old grandma. “She was so helpful and giving me good and positive playing mental, she cheered while my ball had a chance to slip in the hole and always told me that I did a great job. She had giving me a lot of positive energy, she even gave me her lucky stone. Thank you to her help this week, we all have a great memory, I will definitely visit her next year.” Said Huang.

She said the volunteer caddie was a Canadian, love to play golf and drive with her husband all the way from Canada to California; she stays at the place 45 mins from the course for several months.
 
The tournament held at south California and east Los Angeles city Beaumont Morongo Golf Club.

This is the 2nd tournament out of USA Symetra Tour 21 tournaments; it is also the second year co-certificate between TLPGA Tour and Symetra Tour. Start from this week in California there will be three co-certificated tournaments in a row.

Symetra Tour annual OOM top 10 will receive player card to participate 2018 LPGA Tour.
