2017 ICTSI Champion Tour Ladies golf second stage at Mount Malarayat Golf Club in Lipa City, South of Philippines. After round one, Hwang Ye-Nah from Korea made 6-under-par 66 leading solo; Princess Mary Superal from Philippines made 71 solo at the 2nd place. Hsuan-Ping Zhang from Taiwan made 72, shared the 3rd with Saso Yuka from Philippines and Piyathida Ployumsri from Thailand.

Amateurs HOU sisters from Taiwan, Yu-Sang HOU made 75 ranked 14th, Yu-Chiang HOU made 76 ranked 20th.

Hsuan-Ping Zhang start from hole 1, made some mistakes at short games due to the strong wind, bogey at hole 5,6 and 8. At hole 9, finally birdie from bunker saved and 4-foot putt. Next birdie from 12-foot at hole 12, but missed a 4-foot birdie chance at hole 17.

“It’s really windy today, hard to control the landing spots on the green no matter in the wind or against the wind, the greens are also difficult with two layers and big slopes. Very hard to made birdies!” said Zhang.

She has been adjusting her swings over a month, still not comfort with the new swing and hope to become more stable. Though there’s ups and downs last week, she thought today’s performance was great.

Leader Hwang Ye-Nah had 1 eagle, 6 birdies and 2 bogeys. She shot a 190 yards by 5 wood to the pin at hole 17, eagled the hole by 7-foot putt. 33-33 after the round, she is now advanced with 5 shot ahead.

She described the wind was very strong, but she had great feeling on putting and had a lot birdies. “I felt so lucky that I could play under par today.” Hwang had won a champion in 2015 on LPGT.

Princess Mary Superal also had 6 birdies but accompany with 5 bogeys, she was 5 shots behind Hwang. Last year she won two titles on LPGT and ranked 2nd on OOM, this time she still has great motivation to win and keep the trophy in Philippines.

Amateur Saso won a title last May on LPGT, with great potential, she had 3 birdies and 3 bogeys, 35-37 even Par.

Hsin LEE from Taiwan who won the Pro-Am competition yesterday, unexpectedly played 82 today and ranked 60. Last week runner-up Pauline Del Rosario played 76 and ranked 20.

This is a 3 rounds 54 holes tournament, total prize money US$75000, winner will be awarded US$15,000 and runner-up awarded US$7500. The tournament is held for the third year by TLPGA and LPGT (Ladies Philippine Golf Tour). It’s 2017 TLPGA Tour’s third event and LPGT’s second event of the year.

Players are from England, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, US and Taiwan. Total 70 players including 6 amateurs from 10 countries, Thai players with 27 are the majority, 15 Taiwan players are the second and Philippines has 14 players participating.

Second round will tee-off from hole 1, first group will tee-off at 7am, last group Hsuan-Ping Zhang and Hwang Ye-Nah will tee-off at 10:55am.

The cut line will set at top 50 and tie after two rounds.
