2017 ICTSI Champion Tour Ladies golf first stage will start from tomorrow at Splendido Taal Golf Club in South Philippines 3 rounds 54 holes tournament, this is the third year TLPGA and LPGT (Ladies Philippine Golf Tour) co-organized the tournaments. It’s 2017 TLPGA Tour second event and LPGT opening event.
Total prize money US$75000, winner will be awarded US$15,000 and runner-up awarded US$7500.
Players are from China, England, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, US and Taiwan total 8 countries 61 professional players and 9 amateurs. 18 Taiwan players and 5 amateurs enter the game; Thailand players also have 23; Philippines composed by 11 professionals and 3 amateurs.
TLPGA and LPGT continued to cooperate on golf tournaments represent the effort of TLPGA on international certification, which also elevate the level of the tournament and present a broader stage for Taiwan players.
The course set at 6201 yards, today was Pro-Am competition, total 16 professionals paired with 40 social amateurs. Philippines player Cyna RODRIGUEZ and 3 amateurs won the first prize by 18-under-par 54 and Cyna rewarded US$300.
Taiwan players Hsuan-Ping CHANG and Yu-Ju CHEN won second and third place respectively.
ICTSI (International Container Terminal Services, Inc.) is the title sponsor of LPGT, 2017 is the fifth year and tournaments increased from 6 to 10 since 2013.
First round will tee-off from hole 1 and 10, first group tee-off time 7am, last group 8:55am.
Most of Taiwan’s new generation players has joined the tournament, including 5 players ranking top 25 on 2017 TLPGA OOM: 4th Yu-Ju CHEN, 14th Hsuan-Ping CHANG, 17th Tzu-Chi LIN, 17th Chia-Pei LEE and 19th Meng-Chu CHEN.
Philippines also send their top players to the game, including 3-year OOM winner and Symetra Tour player Cyna Rodrigurz.
There’s also last year OOM winner Ikeda Chihiro and ranked 2nd Princess Superal, ranked 3rd Mia Piccio, all hope to keep the trophy in Philippines.
Rookie Pauline del Rosario from Philippines also worth to be noticed, she was Philippines No.1 amateur player and this is her first tournament after turned pro.
The cut off line will be top 50 and tied after two rounds.
