Total prize money USD 80,000 2016 ICTSI Philippines Ladies Masters final round today Dec.23 at Albang Country Club; co-leader Saranporn LANGKULGASETTRIN from Thailand made 72 today, 4-under-par total 212, won the co-sanctioned event by TLPGA and LPGT along with USD 17,000.
This is Saranporn’s first title on TLPGA and LPGT, she is very happy and share the happiness with her father, who is also her caddie. “This win has given me a great deal of confident, which is a great start for the new season.” She said.
Princess Mary SUPERAL from Philippines shot 71, Kanphanitnan MUANGKHUMSAKUL played 73, Lee Jeong-Hwa had 76; three players shared the second place by 1-under-par 215, three stroked behind the winner.
LIN Tzu-Chi from Taiwan shot 71, 3-over-par 219 and shared the 8th with two other players, which has the best performance among Taiwanese players.
Taiwan players HSIEH Yu-Ling 73, HUANG Ching 76, KUO Ai-Chen 78 and amateur HOU Yu-Sang 77; four players had 5-over-par 221 tied 12th place.
Amateur Saso Yuka from Philippines shot 73, total 219. Winner of amateur group and tied 8th among all. Chihiro Ikeda was one stroke behind after two rounds, dropped to 6th place after 76 today, 1-over-par total 217.
Winner Saranporn played 2 birdies and 3 bogeys, 36 after first 9 holes which enlarge the difference among all players, finally won the tournament by 3-shot lead.
LIN Tzu-Chi had 2 birdies and 1 bogey, short games around the greens are great. She birdie by 9-foot putt at hole 7, chipped to hole left 1-foot easy birdie at hole 16.
“I was trying to reduce mistakes, though I was performing well yesterday, the additional mistakes did not help to lower my score.” She mentioned there’s plenty birdie chance during, but only end up pars while slip around the holes.
HSIEH Yu-Ling had 2 birdies and 3 bogeys, putter went normal today but woods weren’t good enough. She settled the game by well short games, end up 37-36.
KUO Ai-Chen shot 42 in the front nine following with 4 bogeys and 1 double bogey, which was an unusual performance. At last, she found her tempo and end with 36 in the last 9 holes, tied 12th place by 78 today.
17-year-old amateur HOU Yu-Sang also has abnormal results in the from nine, double bogeys on hole 1 and 4, along with 1 birdie 2 bogeys, total 77 and tied at 12th place. She recalled the double bogeys was caused by bunkers, but tee-shot and putter were perfectly normal. Only long irons didn’t performed quite well.
HUANG Ching had a stable front 9 holes, 1 birdie 1 bogey total 36; the bogeys starting popping up since hole 14, “I don’t know why, buy the green suddenly went slow, slower than all the days I have in this course.” She recalled. 2 bogeys and 1 double bogey were made during the last 9 holes.
HUANG’s last hole tee-shot to the left woods, she tried to recue by 3-wood but rebound, out from the woods by her 3rd shot but in to the bunker on the 4th shot; dramatic results influent her temper, which end up double bogey total 40 in half 9 holes.
Lee Jeong-Hwa was seeking her third title on LPGT, she was co-leader with Saranporn. Unexpectedly, Lee shot 41 along with 3 bogeys and 1 double bogey, which led her off the list to champion. Though she shot 2 birdies 1 bogey total 35 in the last nine holes, still not be able to fill up the gap. Finally she shot 76 today and tied for the second place.
Total prize money USD 80,000; USD 17,000 for winner and USD 8500 for runner-up. The tournament has played over three rounds (54 holes). Above event was co-sanctioned by TLPGA and LPGT (Ladies Philippine Golf Tour), it is the third co-sanctioned event of the year and the final tournament of TLPGA 2016 season. This is also the 10th and final tournament of LPGT 2016 season. |
