2016 TLPGA Open will take place at Royal Kuan-His Golf Club tomorrow with total prize money NT$2.5 million. We look forward the tournament would be remarkable, which composed by 108 players from 9 countries; the winner will receive NT$450k along with the trophy.
Since January, this is the second TLPGA tournament sponsored by Royal Kuan-His Golf Club. It’s one of the last three events this year and also certificated by Official World Golf Ranking.
The tournament composed by 98 professional players and 10 amateur players, including players from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Among the players, there are 60 players attend as qualifiers for 2017 season; qualifiers could also compete for the place and prize money.
TLPGA Tournament Qualification Test for 2017 has got more attention in Asia, which attracted 38 foreign players; this will set a higher bar for Taiwan tournaments and make each event more competitive.
The tournament has also attracted plenty of excellent Taiwan players, who intend to return Taiwan for the game, including Min LEE, Ssu-Chia CHENG and Pei-Yun CHIEN; Tzu-Chi LIN, winner of TLPGA & Royal Open (current leader of TLPGA Pacificlinks International OOM); I-Wen CHEN, winner of Party Golfers Ladies Open; Thai player Chorphaka JAENGKIT, winner of Chungyuet Group Ladies Open; Heritage Tour winners Hsin-Ning YEH, Hsuan-Ping Chang and Rebecca Tsai. The attendees have made this competition more intense.
13 players out of the top 20th of TLPGA Pacificlinks International OOM has attend this tournament, players included 5th place Yu-Ju Chen, 7th place Pei-Lin YU, 13th Ching HUANG and 14th Meng-Chu Chen; they all expressed great ambition to win the game.
The course set at total 6161 yards. Top 50 players after two rounds will make cut to the final round. The second place will be reward NT$240,000, third place will be reward NT$145,000. The course is free to enter, welcome all spectator cheer for the players. |
