It was a wet and windy day at Ta Shee Golf & Country Club today. LIANG Yi-Lin led in the front 9 but dropped out of lead momentarily with a double bogey. She climbed back to lead with 1 birdie and 1 bogey in the back 9.
LIANG felt that the wet condition made the course played longer than normal. She was pleased with overall performance, only exception being missing the fairway badly on 7th, which led to a double bogey. Used only 26 putts today and she hoped for the best tomorrow.
Rebecca TSAI had a great start with 2 birdies, but a triple bogey made her miserable. It led to 2 more bogeys in the back 9 making 75(+3). She had 26 putts and felt good in chipping and putting. But the wind affected her judgments in the back 9. Tomorrow she will try to keep her tempo, and playing stroke by stroke to conquer the game.
Lynn CHIU played with 2 birdies 5 bogeys and 1 double bogey, end up 77(+5), sharing third place with HUANG Yu-Ning, CHEN Min-Jou and HUANG Pei-Wen. Lynn was surprised to find herself in third place. While the 8th hole was a disaster and her putting was a little out of control, she was pleased with her overall performance.
CHEN Min-Jou played 1 birdie and 6 bogeys, 77(+5). She felt the wind and rain affected several errors in tee-offs. And much consideration was needed when choosing the clubs. She tried to save par with short game and made 29 putts.
HUANG Pei-Wen was in the same group with CHEN Min-Jou, made 3 bogeys in the front 9 and a double bogey on the 12th hole due to a sudden gust of wind. She thought her irons were performing well, and will strive to perform well tomorrow.
Sky SU led all the way till her last two holes got in trouble, double bogey at the 8th hole and triple bogey at the 9th hole. Score of 79(+7) dropped her from the top position to the 9th place.
As for the amateur, group A HUNG Jo-Hua lead the game with 2 birdies and 3 bogeys, total 73(+1). Group B HUANG Yu-Ping lead with 78(+6). Group B boy div. HSIAO Yu-Kai led with 75(+3).
