The concept is also one of the main focuses for the TLPGA to nurture future sport leaders.
Besides Group Professionals, Group Amateurs of Women’s 16-25, Boys’/Girls’ 12-16, and Juniors’ 8-12 will also be in action with first teeing group starts at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
After more than a decade of endeavor, the TLPGA Tour gained worldwide recognition by players and sponsors and was invited by the Women's World Golf Rankings (WWGR) to become one of its nine acknowledged member tours in 2014.
“Our short-term goal will be a 24-event Tour calendar,” claimed Liu Yi-Chen (劉依貞). “Thanks to the tremendous effort for all the partners and sponsors who love the sport as much as we do and strive for the development of women’s golf in Taiwan, this year, we’re happy to announce that we have scheduled 16 TLPGA tournaments and 4 more travelling to other countries, setting the biggest total purse we’ve ever had in TLPGA Tour history.” The total purse of the 2015 Tour sets to raise to a record NT$180 million. |
